Two things to note about these assorted music links. Firstly, Lincoln Bands is obviously of interest only if you live in or around Lincoln UK. Secondly, the Monologues site is about older stuff (punk fans, look away now) including, I’ve just seen, transcripts of several of those Bob Newhart sketches, such as Introducing tobacco to civilization and so on. The Monologues site needs your close attention as you may have to amend a few of the links, because they have recently redone the site and it may have a few glitches.

A large collection of New Wave Photos featuring just about every punk/new wave singer or group you have ever heard of. And the webmaster allows you to buy them or even donate without buying anything. What a generous soul. Still, it’s well worth a visit.

I’ll be darned if I’m gonna do any further sorting out of these. Basically, you can learn all about piano chords, how to play the recorder without getting it full of spit, and some strange things called ‘mu major chords’. (It’s something to do with Steely Dan; Don’t ask, just click on it.)

If I get tired of thinking about chords, I just pick up my trusty bongoes. It’s all about the rhythm really, ain’t it?

Possibly the world’s greatest living DJ. Certainly the world’s most whispery DJ. (According to some sources, this guy is so old that he even used to present programmes on those old bakelite radios. I disagree; I say he goes right back to the days of the wax cylinder.) These two links will save UK fans of Bob H. from wading through the frames on his site. Do what I do: go straight to the playlist.
