Someone once said, referring to the Troubles in Northern Ireland, that there were ‘too many Protestants and Catholics…and not enough Christians’. Me? I prefer to sit on the fence (splinters or no splinters), keep out of all the arguments, and just read about different kinds of beliefs. If pressed, I might admit to being an unorthodox, non-conformist, semi-agnostic don’t-know. (Or I might take the route used by thousands of people who filled in the last UK national census, and say I’m a Jedi.)
